After formal assessments, students use 2 colors to code the TEKS they missed and were successful with. At the end they reflect on their overall strengths and weaknesses. If they failed the test, they are able to meet with me for specific TEK based remediation.

After watching the "Eyes on the Prize" documentary and researching general information on key figures of the Civil Rights movement, students selected one topic for in depth research. Their task was to create a movie trailer and poster based on a turning point event of the Civil Rights Movement.
